Times Like These

Times like these make me want to go.

Times like these are the reason why i need to open the door and go.

Times like these are what make running away seems to be the opposite of silly

I don't think running away from whats bad for you is cowardice. I don't think its valid to be called "running away" anyway, because its not.

Its about getting rid of what hurts you, and learn to love something new. Its about making a big step in your life and possibly entering a new better chapter. Its about loving yourself and stop hurting it emotionally. Its about embracing what has happened. Bad or good.

Its about letting yourself free. Its about finding you. Who you are, what you want. Take off the labels they have put on you for a very long time — and start finding the right ones.

Its about remembering how it used to be. How things used to be easier. How you used to be happier. How it used to be much simpler. How people we used to love, gone.

Love After Love
Derek Walcott

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.
